i changed the fan belt on my escort and then when I tryed starting it, it ran rough I have tryed to do the timing and it either idle's fine but rev really rough or wants to stall and revs fine please help as I am in need of urgent help as I need to get the car on the road asap thanks

Was the timing belt replaced
did the car run prior to you replacing the belt
recheck timing marks
check for vacuum leaks
if battery was disconnected
clean idle air valve
check for trouble codes
