1995 Ford Escort engin

I started my car and it ideled hi I drove for about five miles and it quit and wont start. It has spark. Could it be timing belt or could it be something else?

When you first turn ignition to ON position (ignition lights on, not cranking) do you hear a slight BUZZ noise while sat in the vehicle. Try this a few times. If you hear the buzz your getting fuel. If you are getting fuel and spark. Check the timing belt as you must not have compression !
