I am trying to replace the tail/brake lamp bulb on my Dad's 1994 Ford Escort hatchback. I removed the socket assemble from the body of the car but I cannot remove the bulb from the socket. The base of the bulb is narrow and flat and I cannot see any type of clip holding it in. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Ken

Found the problem. The bulb was corroded into the socket due to a water leak. Had to replace the tail light socket assembly. Local Ford dealer could not help as the part was no longer in stock. Went to a junk yard and found assemble complete with bulbs for only $1.00. :D :D
