I put a new water pump and thermostat on my car and I still have overheating problems. What else could it be? The check coolant light stays on even when I first crank it up and it is not even hot yet.

Have you checked to make sure the cooling fan comes on.

The Check Coolant light petains to the coolant over flow tank. There is a sensor in it try filling it to proper level and see if it goes off if not it is most likely that the sensor is bad.
