Earlier today, my car would not start. I called a friend who is a mechanic, and he came and diagnosed the problem as a bad battery. He replaced the battery, and it still wouldn't start. He took a closer look, and discovered that the problem was the connection between the wires leading to the battery terminals. He did some work on the wires and got the car to start, but now my automatic seatbelts, blinkers, brakelights and headlights do not work.
Is this still a result of the bad connection? He worked with some fuses to so it might be that?

Yep, all those things you mentioned go through a small wire called a fusible link, attached on the starter solenoid.

Thanks for the response. Yep thats what it was. When the mechanic was checking to see why the car wasn't starting, he put a master fuse back in the wrong slot.
