My car is running rough after driving a short ways. The sympton is it feels like I am losing gas power but it will keep running on the interstate but when I get to a stop light or slow down, it wants to start knocking and wil cut off at a light unless I put my foot on the brake or put it in neutral and give it a little gas. No engine light or oil light comes on, in fact no lights on the dash ever come on until it cuts off. I am thinking some bad gas so I got a can of fuel injector cleaner and filled it up with gas and today is the test whether that will help or not. Since it is an old car, it is hard to find an independent place that has the correct diagnostic equipment to test it. (or so I am told)
