1993 Ford Escort 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
I recentley replaced a transmission in a 93 escort. After job was complete I left car running for about an hour and everything seemed to be fine. But then I heard a squeal from under hood and shortley after I noticed fluid pooring out of what looks like front seal area but when I pulled trans back out I noticed alot of metal shavings in bottom of bell housing, in torque convertor, and on pilot shaft.I have spoke to a few people and everyone says something different. The opinion that makes since to me is the pump bearring is bad, So my question is how hard is it to replace this item, is it internal and do I havve to take whole trans apart or would it be simpler to go get another trans.I am truly lost on this one and dont have alot of money to keep throwing in this thing.I would like to get schematic for this trans if possible but the ones I find are not much help.
Thanks for you're time.
