1991 Ford Escort runs for short amount of time

I have a 91 Escort that will run for about a minute then dies. After letting it sit for a little while it will restart but does the same thing again. Can you tell me what could be causing this. Thank You.

First check your fuel pressure by hooking up a gauge to the fuel rail. Run the car until it dies. Let me know the pressure and if it drops suddenly when it dies.
