1991 Ford Escort Fuel tank

Received this car free. Yes I said FREE. Anyways, I put about 350.00 into it and it runs great. The only problem is that everytime I go to fill up, it takes me forever. By forever I mean like ten minutes. No joke. I recently checked the filler tube and vents and it all looks ok. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

most likely the vent hose is collapsed drop tank replace hose. if hose is ok remove sender see what is restricting fuel from flowing in to the tank. good luck billymac

Thanks billymac, I'll give it a shot. I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to remove the tank.
