1990 Ford Escort fuel pump

Check the fusible link C also at the yellow wire at the fuel pump relay do you have power to it?

Is this the right way to do it.

Anyway I don't know where fusible link C is.
Checked the yellow wire at the fuel pump relay, doesn't seem to be power there. I am trying to find fusible link C in my book now and also trying to trace yellow wire from relay. Correction, I have power in the yellow wire at the relay. Is fusible link C one of the links at the starter relay switch with yellow wire
coming out, if so there is power going throught it.

Power the fuel pump pink and black wire from the battery did it come on? if so and fuel pump relay is okay -check the computer ground control circuit

As far as I can tell the pump didn't come on, I jumped it from the battery to the wire under the back seat (which is removed) right before the connector. I should be able to hear it being right
above it, right???

I'm sorry, did I do something wrong, this is the same response that was sent to me before. My vision is bad and I am not up on my electical mechanics so I apologize if I am not doing something right. I powered the fuel pump pink and black wire just above the body wall where it comes through the body of the car into the back seat. It didn't come on as far as I could tell. Also I don't know what the computer ground control circuit is or where but you stated check it if the pump came on??? please don't loose patience with me, I will pay you what I can.

If you power it from the battery positive post to the pink and black wire and ground the black wire and don't come on-the fuel pump is defective.

That's what I thought but how do you account for no power getting to the fuel pump. If I change the fuel pump and it isn't getting power it still won't work right??? why would there be no power getting to the pump???

Test the fuel pump relay and inertia switch-

if you are referring to the fuel shut off switch located under the hatchback behind the left side panel, I checked that before I first posted here...from my first post... If that isn't what you are referring to, I have no idea what or where the inertia switch is and I have no idea what you mean when you say check the relay. I can test the wires, that is the extent of my testing ability and I can't seem to disconnect the relay switch from where it is fastened under the dash. Thank you for trying to help me.
