Air Conditioning problem

Hi there, I was hoping you could help me with my a/c problem. When I turn it on, of course it takes a few minutes for it to start cooling off, but cold air will come out for about five seconds and then it will turn to the warm outside air. Then about 30 seconds later it will turn cold air out again, but only for a few seconds. I have filled it, so that's not the problem. Can you help? Thanks so much!
