Engine Mechanical problem
1989 Ford Escort 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

This Car ALWAYS starts & runs GREAT! ...
Just a few days ago this Problem Started...
It starts up & runs Normal for about 4 to 6 mins...
Then stops running... When I try to start it again...
It won't start... Just cranks the engine over! ... after a few hours... It WILL Start Again... Only runs for 4 to 6 mins.... This happens over & over.... will not run past the 4 to 6 mins...

WHATS UP WITH THAT!!

Check the fuel pressure to rule out a weak fuel pump if okay test the ignition system
