I have a 1986 ford escort I just bought recently. The other day my exhaust came off right at the catalytic converter. It started stalling after start it unless I hold the gas down a lil. I found out it was a vacuum hose came off so I put it back on and now when I drive if I push down on the gas it goes like its going to stall for a lil the it bucks and picks up speed

Was the exhaust fixed
you should do that 1st
and if still stalling clean throttle and idle air control valve
I would suspect an idle control valve issue

I fixed the exhaust and now its idling right. But when I step on the gas while driving it goes like its bogging out, then after a lil bit it picks up.

With that many miles should check it for tune up and check fuel filter
