2005 Ford Escape What a suprise!

Today, the Escape died on the freeway and I had it towed to the dealership where I was told that the computer system or PCM, Power train Control Module, is burnt out. Why is it that a car that is 4 years old, never showed any signs or problems is having computer problems. I called Ford customer service 1-800-392-3673. Got no where.

A computer can go out the first day. Before throwing a new computer in id make sure that the wires arnt damaged and maying shorting out.

Also make sure the module is wet and not getting water or liquids on it.
