2004 Ford Escape won't start

2004 Ford Escape 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

My wife has a ford escape. we went to the store and shut off the car. When we went to start it there was nothing not even a click. the lights work along with the electric seats but nothing else. If you play with the ignition you can get the idiot lights to come on but as soon as you turn the key to engage the engine, nothing. Could it be the starter?

Have your battery tested. It is probably on its last juice.
