My daughter has a 2003 Escape that only occasionally will have a problem. The car will begin to shake or buck and then continue to shake or buck after she turns it off. Then she will start it up again and the problem will be gone. So the mechanics can't make a diagnosis. She is in Colorado, Ft. Collins, and I am in Maryland so I really need your help. She took it to Advance Auto and used their code reader but no codes showed up.

Upgrade the gas a step, and get combustion chamber cleaner from FORD and follow the directions on the can, you have a carbon build up problem.
