Engine Mechanical problem
2002 Ford Escape 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 72k miles

Hello,
I have an on gonig iscue with my 2002 ford escape. My car when left for a few hours at times will not start. It has no problem starting from an hot engine however on a cold start I have to keep my foot on the accelerator for the car to start. Ford has told me this is impossible sicne it is automatic and putting my foot on the accerator would not do anything however it is the only way my car will start at times. I replaced my fuel filter and spark plugs. Ford claimed it was the vaccum and replaced it yet the problems still remains. At times my car will jerk will a press the acceerator when I first start up the car however this only happens with in the first minute or two as the car will proform normal after this.Hopefully you can figure out this problem as it is definaly a major frustration with this car. Thank you so much for your time.,
Chad
