2002 Ford Escape Stuck in Reverse

2002 Ford Escape

I was driving and pulled up to my destination. I accidently put the car in reverse and now it is stuck. The car is off, and I can't get it to start. the key moves, but will not start the vheicle. What can I do to get it started?
