Dear Sir/Ms:

I have an oversteer problem. The vehicle when moving at 40 mph or above and the speed effects the severity of the response of the oversteer.

The vehicle wants to over turn to the left. This happens on the open road and when going around left hand turns at 4o mph or higher. I have replaced both from wheel bearings, both fron lower control arms, bothe front struts and aligned the escape more often then I can explain. The problem continues to remain.

I have just recently noticed that it only does it with power on, or another words during acceleration or maintaining current speed, not coasting. If I coast around the turn it does not happen. I can make it happen at lower speeds by turning the steering wheel to the left very quickly.

Do you have any ideas? Could it be I or more CV Joints?

Thank you,
Dave

When you changed struts did you replace the strut mounts or turning plates on top of the strut. I have found this to be popular with pulling problems, not exactly how you describe it but close. I would tend to think its not cv joint related, maybe a bad engine mount or trans mount causing steering angle to change? Let us know

I did not change the plates. The problem is only on one sid, makes me believe it someting in theaxel because it only does it with power on the drive train

Thats very possible that its the axle but I would think it would vibrate going straight ahead. Did you check the engine and trans mounts? Brake torque it with the hood open and see if the engine is lifting.

I will do that. I thought it may be a mount. I will get back to you in a few days after some checking.

Thanks,
Dave
