2001 Ford Escape brake warning light

I have an 01 ford escape , the brake light has periodically started coming on and going off , now it is constantly staying on , ive checked things out and cant seem to find a problem , fluid looks good , and front pads are new , im just outa ideas . Do you have any ideas ? maybe ive missed something.

Hello,

You said the fluid looks good, is it filled to appropreate full mark? If not add fluid to correct mark and check light.

Do the brakes feel normal? If so possible that the Fluid level sensor is bad.
