2001 Ford Escape Air Conditioning Stop Cooling at Freeway S

Air Conditioning problem
2001 Ford Escape All Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
The air conditioning system cools well at idle or slower surface street speeds but stops cooling at freeway speeds. Fan blows as normal but at outside air temp. Thanks in advance for your help.

Have the system checked to be sure it is full. Sometimes the pressures will drop at speed , causing the system to shut off to prevent damage to the compressor
