I have a 93 ford e 150 van with167000 miles and is a 5.O engine the serptine belt keeps on coming off, there is a noise coming from the air conditoner compresser like the bearings in the clutch are no good, would this cause the belt to come off it works fine for about 10 minites then comes off?Do I have to change out the compresser or can I by pass the air compresser and use a smaller belt or is it something else

Should be able to get a belt for your vehicle without a/c I did that on a few cars I owned and just bypassed the a/c compressor. I know on my chevy van g-20 350 gas the compressor locked up and the belt broke. But it quit spinning all together. I would imagine if the pulley isnt spinning smooth or fast enough it could throw the belt off.
