2006 Ford E-Series Van Old Sock Smell

When I first turn on the air conditioning it smells like old socks or sneakers. If I just turn on the vent or heater it does not do this. How do i fix this smell.?

Microbes are growing on the evaporator, check with the parts store if they have the special chemical spray to rid the unwanted organisms if available spray the evaporator or thru the blower ducts or air intake.
also clean out the AC drain tube
