My key wouldn't turn in my ignition even after turning the steering wheel several times to free it up. I had it towed to my mechanic and he told me the interior of the ignition was damaged and had to be replaced. He said the cost would be $365.00. I'd like to know if that was a fair assessment to replace this item, labor included. Thank you.

For replacing your vehicle's ignition cylinder, it shouldn't cost more than around $200.. An estimate is below at a labor rate charge of $70 /hour including the parts.
