The neutral safety switch is the manual lever position sensor see below circuit

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX If you're having problem with starting circuit see below this is for your E40D for a C-6 tranny they called it the Park/Neutral Switch different names but the same functions as the neutral safety switch the old name-
