1991 Ford E-Series Van hood won't release

if you can still pull the hood release and it unlocks then go out and smack the hood with your hand. If the hood is released then the hood will pop up.after you get the hood open then lube the latch and cable. If the cable doesn't release the latch then you have to try to get it unlatched from the bottom. Usually a long screwdriver and perserverance get this done.....
