1989 Ford E-Series Van gas gage not working

I have 2 tanks. Gage stopped working for rear tank.
Months later gage stopped working for front tank.
Gage for front tank works when tank is about 1/3
full. Where is my problem?

the floater is mostlikely faulty, and need replacement, Im not sure if the sending unit is part of the floater on these vehicles, but it may be the case, you will ask for the sending unit, and see if that is part of it.
