Van has been repaired for over heating. Temperature gage goes over half then almost to full hot temp then engine stalled. Need to cool the engine for an hour to retart again. It was done by mechanic. Drove it was fine when I pick it up. He replaced the thermostat and plush the radiator. He told me since thermostat is replaced it shold not over heat. Now it still overheating what should I do? Water pump has been already changed once. This cost me a lot already. Pleased reply and thank you kindly

How do you know the correct thermostat was installed? I've never heard of a thermostat failing on an engine. Overheating is nonsense, and somebody has tampered with your engine. Is the water pump the correct one for your engine? If you've eliminated the thermostat, waterpump, then it sounds like a physical blockage in the rad itself.
It is obviously a stock engine. Sometimes the temp gauge sender goes bad. It is always wise to do a hot compression check as well.
Disable the fuel delivery and spark whilst it is being cranked.
You may have to flush your rad or engine.
A borescope is handy to discover blockages in the block components.
