HAVING OIL PAN SEAL AND REAR SEAL REPLACED ABOUT 30.00 IN PARTS, AND WONDER WHAT I COULD EXPECT FOR LABOR COST AT 85.00 PER HOUR. WHAT OTHER THINGS SHOULD BE DONE OR CHECKED NOW THAT THIS REPAIR WILL OPEN UP THIS PART OF THE VAN. THIS VAN IS A E-200 AND IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.

Hello,

Ok, you say you are having the Oil Pan Gasket Replaced. Now you also say about the rear seal, are you tallking about the Rear Main Seal? If so then you are looking at around $1,000 for labor. To replace the rearmain seal the tranny has to come out. Now as far as the parts you purchased, not sure about the garages in your area but here in my area there are some that won't let you purchase the parts for them to put in.
