crown vic thermostat?

99 crown vic, mileage 280,000, i got me a cracked thermostat housing, leaking coolant all over the place, especially on my plugs, fouling the heck outta them, i need to replace something, does any one know if i can get just the thermostat housing seperate or do i need the whole intake manifold? please help..... this is my ex-cruiser.[img:77baacc644]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/66740_01970019_2.jpg[/img:77baacc644]

Chances are that you have the composite (plastic) intake manifold. They were recalled by ford. The updated design has a metal crossover/ thermostat housing. I doubt if your vehicle would be covered but look into it. You will need to replace the manifold. If you do replace the heater hose that runs under it. while your at it.
