If I try to shift car on or off it will not shift, if I turn the key to a position just before it makes an electrical connection and I can put in neu and start so on so fourth. I replaced the ignition switch and fixed a coroded wire on brake light switch and broke fuse. Still my car wont shift and brake lights wont work

The solenoid for the shifter get it's power feed from the brake light pedal switch. Use test light to see if there's power on both sides of the switch with pedal depressed. If so, trace wire away from switch for break (inside insultion). Usually pretty close to switch because that's where the wires "bend" all the time.

Well, I replaced the ignition switch and the brake switch, now I am down to the selenoid. If anyone knows where to find a picture of the selenoid, or where it is I would be really appreciative.
