Young son drove off in older marine sons car. Called home said it had blown a spark plug commpletly out. and the oil all pumped out. He said he stopped immediatly Had it towed home and now Mamas gotta get fixed. I am not car savy please tell me what this means so I can get it fixed or if I should look for him a new car.

Hi: With all due respect.. Your discription makes no sense. How a spark plug were to blow out of the cylander with no warning would be at best be "Out there" To the best of my knowledge this would not cause an major oil loss short term.
Given what you have said I may suspect the car has used up the oil as a result of engine wear and your finding the low oil level is not directly related. Consider re-installing the plug and topping of the oil .
Your message said the car was towed home. Please explain further..
