Electrical problem
1999 Ford Crown Victoria Two Wheel Drive Automatic 49000 miles

Is the brake light switch separate from the plastic holder that secures it to the metal support under the dash at the master cylinder rod?I can't see to release the clip & I dont want to break the plastic holder to remove the switch. If I purchase the switch will it come complete with the holder?
