The ECS module monitors back-up power supply, accelerometer operation and memory. If ECS detects a failure in these components, it will store DTC B1342 in memory and flash Code 24 on AIR BAG warning light.
Possible Causes
An ECS module internal fault could be caused by improperly operating accelerometer, back-up power supply, internal module circuit fault or microcontroller RAM/ROM/EEPROM

Where is the ECS Module? Is this something the average person could replace with something from a junker?
