We can not get the pitman arm the pop back into place, even with the pitman arm puller. Any tips or advice on how to get it back into it's right spot?

Are you sure you have the correct pittman arm? Ford has more than 1 keyed slots on the steering box. Make sure the blind splines will match to the steering gear. If they match, it should slide on and pull up as the nut is tightened.
