1997 Ford Crown Victoria Engine light stays on and then beg

1997 Ford Crown Victoria V8 Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 98417 miles

My engine light on my crown vic has been on for about 1,200 miles. I let someone borrow my car and I thought they put bad gas in it but now after driving the car over 1,200 miles and putting several fuel injector cleaners in it the engine light is still on. I have been told that it I disconnect the battery and let the car sit that it will reset the computer on the car and the engine light will go off. Any ideas on what could be wrong? It also studders a bit when I'm driving so maybe my fuel injectors need to be cleaned also?

My suggestion is to have it scanned for codes most local shops will be able to help you some do it foe free check it out
if you can get the codes that will help in pin pointing the trouble area
post the codes for future help
