96 CROWN VIC - TURNED CAR OFF WITH GEARSHIFT IN DRIVE, KEY STUCK IN IGNITION, WILL TURN TO "RUN" BUT NOT "ACCES." OR "START". THEREFORE WON'T START. CAN MOVE GEARSHIFT TO ALL-"PRND" WITH BRAKE DEPRESSED. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Make sure the vehicle is in Park and disconnect ground cable from battery. Leave disconnected for a few minutes then reconnect. Post your results and I will follow up if you still need help.
