1992 Ford Crown Victoria

I was told to add transmission fluid to the engine oil to clean my engine. This is just before (30 miles) having an oil change. Transmission fluid is better at cleaning then is engine oil.
This this correct and safe?

I would not advise adding transmission fluid to the engine to clean the system, this could damage seals/gaskets etc. ..I would add a good engine oil treatment to clean the engine out with fresh oil ...all autoparts stores will be able to supply and advise on these oil addatives/cleaners .. just follow the directions on the addative container and you should be good ... I also advise my customers with older vehicle's to use an oil addative (lucas etc. ) at every oil change ! Hope this helps
