I have a 1990 crown vic that my father left me when he passed away it has around the same miles as yours. I installed a advace auto rebult engine with the 2 year warrenty and had ammco rebuid the transmission with the 1 year warrenty cost of rebuiled was 1000$. It was money well spent. The transmission shifts perfect and the engine is super strong. It is a beautiful car but just weekend driver because here in WV gas is 3.50$ a gallion. Go with ammco and you will be happy. Wish you welll. Greg
