1987 Ford Crown Victoria starter coloinoid

I have been told its wired wrong. The starter stays engaged. Have to remove wire to get it to stop. Shoots sparks when u start it

First, were the wires removed for anything? Also, is the solenoid on the inner fender?

Yes it was a new solenoid that was inslalled

It is either wired wrong or it is bad.

To the best of my knowledge, you should have One large terminal post to battery, the other large terminal post to starter, the small terminal post to trigger wire
