1987 Ford Crown Victoria fuel pump relay or fueable link

1987 Ford Crown Victoria V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

we took out the fuel pump and it tested good out of tank hooked to an alternate battery. but hooked into wiring harness on car it dosnt pump. could it be the relay or the link. if so where is the link? how do i tell which is the right relay

Probabe causes could be the inertia fuel cut off switch, fuel pumpr relay, and fuse
