losing milage (150KM) on one full tanks of gas

1998 ford contour SE, 4 cylinder. 180 000 kms. For some odd reason I am running short on a full tank of gas. I have noticed that in the last 2 fill ups I have returned to the gas station 150KMs earlier than I normally would. There are no apparent leaks in the gas tank. Any Ideas???????

Anwer everyone will give you is to have the vehicle tuned up. Now that said, pull a plug out one at a time and look at them. Are they black and sooty? I would venture a guess that they are. Replace the plugs. Now dealing with the problem. Air filter, replace it. Check the timing. Are there any check engine codes available?
