1996 Ford Contour, 116,000 miles, I believe a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder. The problem I have started two days ago. Went to start the car, battery was dead. Took for granted my 3 year old left a light on. Jumped, started, and ran great. Battery once more dead this morning. Figure it must be the battery. Get to work, go to restart by jumping it, and car starts, but is now doing crazy wild things. Door locks flick on and off, engine is running terribly. Feels like perhaps a ground is broken, but can't find.

It is probably not charging and the symptoms you are getting are related to low voltage.

CK..All Battery connectors cleaned and no corrosion on wires.

Did you have the battery and alternator ckd at a parts store like auto zone or ??
