1999 Ford Contour tranny problem

on the bottom of a trans, there is some kind of cap that popped off. i believe this holds in some kind of a o-ring. My daughters car lost this piece last night. Does any one know what i am trying to describe?

Hi Paul,

Are you able to post a picture of it and also the area of the tranny you think it may have come from. If not can you give me a better description of it as to height length width etc.
