1999 Ford Contour Rear struts

1999 Ford Contour 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Is there a way to tighten nut on top of rear strut while on vehicle. just wonder cause put strut in vehicle already and nut was tight I thought, but could use a few more turns. Got socket on bolt but the strut shaft just spins.

will have to find something to rig up to hold the shaft otherwise it will have to be removed
