Where can I find the resistor relay that controls the speed of the dashboard fan on a 1999 Fod Contour? Are there any difficulties or tricks you can help me with in swapping out this part? the car has 89,000 miles

look behind the glove box, best way to locate it is find the blower motor. trace the wires back to the resistor. there is a blower relay, and a blower resistor and sometimes a blower module and it is know as a resistor either way there mounted inside the blower box so they can stay cool they have to have air blowing on them. hope this helps. PS if your having trouble with blower speeds check the switch alot of times i see burned up wiring due to blower load.
