1999 Ford Contour Excessive fuel consumption

I have a 1999 ford contour with a 2.5l v6 with 127000 kms, and i am currently only getting apprx 300 kms to the tank. What could be causing the fuel to be used up so fast?

Try getting a major tune-up and change the oxygen sensor/s

it could be a dirty air filter
incorrect ignition timing
low tire pressure or wrong tire
fuel injection sytem going bad
