Plz help!
Hi, my 1999 four contour sport se blinker lights and emergency lights are no longer working. The brake lights are still working. Could you tell me where I can check to see if this is wiring or bulbs or something else? I am worried it has somthing to do with problems that have been going on with the car for years now that no mechanic has been able to diagnose. The car randomely dies while driving or accelerating. Also, it revs up on its own at stop lights. The check engine light is always on. Many mechanics have tested it and said nothing is wrong and simply reset the engine light, but it comes on again eventually and continues the problems. One of them replaced my O2 sensor and one changed my fuel filter. None of these things have helped. Could it be some main wiring problem? I notice that in extreme weather the problems get worse. The thing is, I am trying to get it to pass inspection by fixing the blinker problem so that i can trade it in for the TX Air Check program. I dont want to fix all the other problems, so hopefully the blinkers are not connected to the many other issues. What do you think? I dont want to be taken advantage of if I get it proffesionaly looked at and I know nothing about cars (plus im pretty broke). One mechanic said it will be expensive to check out because he has to get into the steering column and that is difficult...Please help! thanks a bunch, Audrey
