1998 Ford Contour

How do you fix the temperature gague on the dashboard.I think the sensor might be gone because the temperature gague is not reading the temperature.

Locate the sending switch at the engine side and check its connector and wire
ground the wire if gauge go all the way to high suspect a bad unit

If heating quality is poor
remove and replace the thermostat

The size of the motar is 2.0L 16v zetec vct.

check around the coil area and thermostat housing
