1997 ford contor, dual fuel, 4 cyl, auto trans. Occasional mild power loss. Occasional check engine light comes on. Code reads lean condition lert side.I reset the code and its fine for another 8 months. I almost never use the car on natuarl gas. Last week a light came on in dash -in checking oweners manual its theTRACTION CONTROL. Per owners manual there is a switch on left side of the dash to shut off TRACTION CONTROL.I have looked, its not there.I can feel somthing different about hows the car drives not bad just different. HAYNES repair manuel has no reference to this condition. Ihave owned the car for four years, got it at gas company auction.

Do you feel a difference at an idle or when driving? The reason I ask is because a lean mixture could be a vacuum leak. Also, the traction control light could be caused by a few things such as a bad ABS sensor. As far as the switch, it should be on the left side of the dash. Just so you also know, the traction control will cut engine power if the tires spin.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions or additional information.

Sid,
Let me know if it helps. Also, if you have natural gas fuel too, make sure there are no leaks where it connects.
